Mayor Village Board meeting.

Pledge of Allegiance

Present: Mayor Miccio, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Trustees Brozier and Newhard, Village Clerk Angela Arasim

Note; Trustee Ferrara absent

Mayor entertains motion to approve the minutes of June 5th meeting, So Move, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried.

Mayor reads abstracts:

General $38,790.16

Water $17514.68

Sewer $18,482.40

Trust & Agency $7,673.75

Capital Project Weston Ave. $33,200.10

Mayor entertains motion to approve abstracts as read, So Move Trustee Newhard, Seconded, Trustee

Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Mayor entertains motion to rescind the open container law for Village Block Party on August 19th from 6pm to 10 on Main Street, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried

Mayor entertains motion to agree to the Site Plain Application decision date to be extended to August 21, 2017, for the submisstion by Verizon wireless to Village Planning Board, So move, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Carried.

Mayor entertains motion to authorize him to sign the contract with B&K for the Glenham meter pit project, So move, Trustee Brozier, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Carried

REPORTS

Building Inspector – Read by Tom Vantine, on file

Fire: Mayor reads report as submitted by Chief Knapp, on file.

Justice report submitted by Court Clerk and read by Mayor

Police report read by Commissioner Scofield, Jr.

Water/Sewer: Dave Morrison reads report, on file

Mayor entertains motion to award sludge removed bid to only bidder, Residuals Management Services, Inc., So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Carried.

Dave Morrison recommends bid award for Water plant Chemicals be awarded to E.S.C Environmental for $1.085/Gallon. Mr. Morrison stated that although Slack Chemical was the low bidder, in the past Slack has a poor history; delivery not timely and schedule not followed, and quality of Chlorine was not sufficient. Village Attorney states that is a valid reason for not awarding to low bidder.  Mayor entertains motion to award bid to E.S.C. Environmental, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried

Project Coordinator- no report submitted

Ambulance report submitted

Trustee Brozier brings up topic of Village Hall security and access to hall thru side door, employee sign out sheet when leaving hall, fire emergency meet up place; Mayor assigns Trustee Brozier to research and design a policy and procedure. Discussion to continue at a later date.

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to adjourn, Seconded Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  8:05 pm
