Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting                  

September 28, 2017

 

Chairman Tom Brooks opens the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and asks for a motion to

open the meeting.

 

John Depew makes a motion to open the meeting. Terry Palumbo seconds the motion. Discussion none, all in favor. Aye. Motion carried.  

 

Present: Tom Brooks, Tom Newhard, John Depew, Terry Palumbo,  Absent: Ann Trost  Also present: Village Board Trustee Anthony Brozier, Tom VanTine, Code

Enforcement Officer and Building Inspector, Sarah Brown, Village Planner  and Don Van Nostrand ,Zoning Board Secretary.

 

Chairman Brooks entertains a motion to accept the minutes for the meeting held

on August  24, 2017. Motion made by Terry Palumbo to approve. Motion seconded by John Depew. Discussion none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

 

Chairman Brooks announces that this is a continuation of a public hearing from the August 24, 2017 meeting. If anyone from the public present who would like to speak on the project are welcome to come forward. Seeing that there are none

then we can move forward.

Tom Depuy gave a summary of the project and explained that the owners of the

property would like to put an addition on each side of the current building which

would add an additional twenty rooms. Additional parking spaces of 88 spaces

would be required and the applicant can provide 82 spaces which would require

a variance of 6 parking spaces. Also, there is a front yard setback requirement

which has been exceeded. A 50% impervious area in the front yard setback is

required and the applicant can provide 60% thus requesting a 10% variance.

Chairman Tom Brooks stated that since there was nobody from the public present to comment on the application he would entertain a motion to close the public hearing.

 

Terry Palumbo makes a motion to close the public hearing. Motion seconded by John Depew. Discussion none. All in favor. Aye. Motion carried.

 

Sara Brown reads the amended resolution (on file) with the variances that were requested by the applicant.

 

Chairman Brooks entertains a motion to accept the resolution as amended

to include  60% of the front yard setback allowed whereas 50% is required and

grant the variances as requested. Motion seconded by Tom Newhard. Discussion none. All in favor. Aye. Motion carried.

Chairman Brooks entertains a motion to adjourn the meeting.

 

Tom Brooks makes a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded by John Depew. Votes for: 4 Votes against: 0 Discussion: None  Motion carried.
